Intellectual property and value enhancement

The Area of Intellectual Property and Value Enhancement's mission is:

To evaluate the potential application of research results and facilitate their exploitation by society at large, through such means of protection as patents and other certificates of intellectual property, licensing and the creation of technology-based companies which work with these results.
To promote collaboration in R&D with the public-private sector by means of the development and dissemination of scientific and technical resources and the organization of conferences and events focused according to the sector involved, which will serve as a platform to come closer to the business world and improve knowledge among researchers and companies.
To encourage contact with the private sector with the aim of improving the available knowledge regarding business demand for innovation and make it possible to pass on these needs to groups and research institutes.
To foster a culture of knowledge transfer and public-private cooperation in the UV research community, disseminating good practices in the protection of research results and providing basic training in marketing strategies for research results and scientific and technical capabilities.
