Collaboration in R&D
The Collaboration in R&D with companies is regulated on the one hand, by the signing of agreements and/or contracts between the University and the companies, and on other hand, by developing of joint projects co-financed with public funds.
This OTRI area is continually scouting funding sources for R&D activities in order to provide the university community the best information available.
The OTRI's area for collaborative R&D provides a customized technical support service for the coordination, regulation and management of such collaborations, in which one can distinguish three kinds:
- Tasks of scientific and technical nature under contracts (regulated by Article 83 of the LOU (Universities Act)).
- Collaborative R&D projects, via joint submission of proposals to public calls for funding to reduce the investment risk for companies.
- The formation of consortia, partnerships, joint units with public and/or private participation to generate critical mass, in order to offer solutions for improving citizens' life quality and the economic and social development.
